I understand councils are strapped for cash but this is one of the worst trees in a town I have ever seen, looks a pyramid to me. Anyone else got a rubbish one?

Ours doesn’t have any lights and only has seven baubles- all on one side. Definitely worse than yours!

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 16/12/2023 21:31

@GoatyMcGoatface that made me spill me tea!😂🤣

sprigatito · 16/12/2023 21:39

I think this one might have the edge...

Stop it.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

TheYearOfSmallThings · 16/12/2023 21:46

Are the barriers a permanent part of the installation?

Agentdanascullyx · 16/12/2023 21:57

Omg I actually feel better about ours 😂 no they aren’t permanent

Are you sure? Our barriers are so permanent they look to have become part of the pavement.

GoatyMcGoatface · 16/12/2023 22:58

@Alphabet1spaghetti2 The perils of storms! The replacement one is up now.

I don't know what happened here!

RammyEwie · 16/12/2023 23:16

We had this gem a while back.
There was a lot of mocking for it.

That'll be the last time Brighton Council ask Picasso to put their tree up.

Gettingbysomehow · 16/12/2023 23:18

Why don't they just grow a real one and decorate it every year. Such a waste of money and we need more trees.

RammyEwie · 16/12/2023 23:22

We had this nonentity one year too.
Such glitz and sparkle...

When you are walking underneath, it doesn't really resemble a Christmas tree, also slightly terrifying thinking if they fell I could get impaled final destination style. 🤣

HeddaGarbled · 16/12/2023 23:48

I quite like the modern-arty ones (without the horrible barriers). @sprigatito’s is the worst IMO.

Sugarfish · 17/12/2023 00:21

We don’t even have one in our town anymore. The little shits in town centre kept vandalising them.

Friarclose · 17/12/2023 00:24

Our "tree" is definitely the worst

@Friarclose Im not sure that can be entered into this competition. Does it meet the definition of a tree…..😱😂

Our town tree is really nice and they have covered the barriers in greenery.

Vitriolinsanity · 17/12/2023 08:43

When you start work at a Council are you given the phone number for the Haras fencing people on your first day?

megletthesecond · 17/12/2023 08:47

For once our town has a lovely tree in the old part of town. We even have a wooden fence around it. I had to take a photo I was so shocked.
