Build enough savings to secure a mortgage. One goal, but a massive one!

TeenDivided · 16/12/2023 14:55

Goals for me
. Continue to lose weight
. Get competent with internet banking and apps on phone

Goals I'd like to help DD achieve
. Pass English and Maths Functional Skills
. Come of anti depressants
. Get a part time job and/or apprenticeship
. Start learning to drive

@TeenDivided if she's not sure about her spatial awareness skills, I'd recommend an automatic. It worked well for me

Oh definitely. We have an automatic for her with an extra brake pedal all ready for when she feels she has enough headspace to have a go. (She really needs to try as her area of work tends to be in the middle of nowhere.)

Yes great. I have these 3 but looking for more.

Apply for my masters

Improve my canva skills

Get BMI under 30.

HairdryerMary · 16/12/2023 16:50

@WelshNerd what is your masters going to be in?

Weight loss is definitely one for me but I think I'm not in the right mindset. I've only lost before when I've had the time and money before.

@WelshNerd what is your masters going to be in?

Government & Politics. The goal is to apply. Whether I'll actually be able to start is a different matter.

What are you currently studying OP?

Lentilweaver · 16/12/2023 17:13

Begin open water swimming
Finish writing a book I have been commissioned to write ( side hustle). I have already written about 65k words.
Make cooking less of a boring chore somehow
Travel as much as I can afford to, to some
See as much theatre as I can and spend on experiences, not stuff
Spend as much time with DD and DS as I can ( young busy adults)

Make new friends and keep older ones

Probably many more if I can think of

violamary · 16/12/2023 17:22

I'm happy with exercise and fitness goals - I tackled that around three years ago. I recently started to relearn playing the piano, so will plough on with that.

I hope my divorce will finally be finalised next year. I will try to hurry that though it's taking time.

HairdryerMary · 16/12/2023 20:04

@Lentilweaver yep I'm adding writing to mine. I've got four scripts on the go. What's your book about?
@WelshNerd social work, so definitely not as exciting as yours.

WelshNerd · 16/12/2023 20:18

I'm not sure that is true @HairdryerMary and at least you'll be very employable!
