Bottle blenders?

Has anyone bought one of these? Don't know the exact name but they're mini blenders in a takeaway bottle that you can charge up via USB and have smoothies on the go.

Are they a good gift?!

They are being advertised at me relentless all over the internet! But I just don’t see the point of them. You can make one before you leave home and pop it in a reusable cup if you want to be on the go. Or you can buy a juice/smoothie out.

I can also imagine it being forgotten about in the car after being used and going manky. So for me it is a gimmick.

I’ve heard good things about the Crimpit if you are looking for a new gadget for someone.
