Car tax via direct debit

England based. I pay car tax by direct debit. It is taxed until 1.1.24. will this auto renew as it's by direct debit as I haven't had a reminder letter? I've tried ringing the DVLA but I can't get through to a real human.

It autorenews as long as the MOT and insurance hasn't expired. Which is how I realised my MOT had expired. Whoops.
