Suitcase wheels too stiff

Is this a thing - suitcase wheels can be too stiff? We normally use passenger assist when travelling via train and the last time the lovely PA guy mentioned that the case was difficult to pull/push as the wheels were too stiff. The case has only been used 4-5 times but we do need to use it again soon - what is the best way to make it easier to pull?

WD40?

I agree with the WD40 suggestion above, followed by giving them a good spin. Small pieces of grit picked up from the pavement etc can make things hard work.

Doh, of course WD40 - thanks!

The wheels might have been damaged. I had a fairly new case that was never quite the same after handing it over to the crew to load onto a cruise ship. I didn’t realise how bad it was until I pushed my daughter’s case.

We got damp leaves caught around ours and the wheel locked up to the extent it was damaged before we realised.

I'm not sure about WD40, bike cable liners are plastic and WD40 makes them swell and restrict the cable movement.

As a PP said, see if they have some debris jammed in them. Rub a 2B pencil on both sides of the wheels, graphite is an excellent dry lubricant.
