Any free tracker apps for phones

So all 3 kids have mobiles.
2 Android and 1 iOs.
Is there any free apps that I can track them on?

Really it's more to locate their phones when they lose them 🙄

Life360? It won’t give you 100% accurate location (more ‘in the house’ or ‘at school’) but still ok.

Life 360 is over 10euro a month though isn't it?

Google family link will help. You can see where they are, ping the phone, switch off access to apps, set time limits etc. it was really useful for us.

The free version works fine. I dont need any of the premium add ons at all.

We have the free version of 360 and it’s fine. Until DS calls me up to ask what I’m buying in Waitrose…!

OurPact might be worth a look.

Life 360 is a massive data and battery drain so unless you all have unlimited data don't go down that route.

We use find my iPhone but that doesn't help your android situation.

Life360 free version works fine for us. Also Google find my phone, and the iPhone equivalent, which you can use from other devices.

Great thanks guys. There are a few good suggestions. Didn't know life360 did a free version

Reminds me of the time we set off to visit my sister and I used the ‘ETA’ gizmo on 360.

She called me to ask what I was doing driving in along the east coast of America… (and no the route was perfectly accurate at my end).

BetsyBobbins · 15/12/2023 17:31

Another Life360 free version user here. Like a PP said, not entirely accurate all the time but most of the time , which is good

We just share locations through Google maps. You can also set it send notifications when you leave specified locations, such as school or work.

I also heard about this one Google Maps. But there are some other apps which is also good for location tracking. You can should give them a try. And of course, some of the apps for free. All the best!
