Help! Overthinking and 40s!

Hi 👋 I posted last night in a couple of other websites/apps but again no response at all. I don’t mean that to come across grumpily.
I really would like someone who has experienced similar to let me know your thoughts… I am in my 40s (earlier than later) and have an IUD that is due to removal as had it a long time now. I have not had any periods at all for many years and all has been well. The last couple of days I have noticed incredibly light pink spotting, barely noticeable but definitely pink. I have also noticed slight cramping where my right ovary is- that has come and gone occasionally the last 24 hours. I’m absolutely shattered too. Both today and yesterday I have fallen asleep on my sofa and had a pretty deep day sleep. Does anyone have any idea what this may be? I can’t get to my GP until end of next week- I did try, no appts available. Any help really would mean a lot to me as Google just had me plunging into overthinking.
thanks.

have you booked the removal?

Have you taken a pregnancy test? Could it be menopause related? All you can really do before the appointment is book removal and take a test to rule that out.

Yes I've got a removal booked but it's not until January as there were no appts available before then. And that was with me booking it 6 weeks ago! I definitely just want it out now. Also thank you to each of you for replying! I didn't realise SAD can have those effects, I'm thinking menopause maybe but not sure if that causes the overwhelming exhaustion. I maybe could do a pregnancy test just in case. Didn't think that would be likely given my age.

If you are early 40s, your contraception has become less effective and you are having sex then it’s deff a possibility, unlikely yes but worth ruling out as the GP will probably ask you anyway.
