How to take take of my nose?

MummyMumMumMummy · 14/12/2023 14:02

It sounds like such a silly question but I rarely, rarely get full blown colds. I get occasional sore throat and dry sinus infections.. but never a runny, need to blow my nose constantly cold.

and oh my god.. I think I have the flu. I ache, I’m tired, I feel fuzzy and light. I just don’t feel good at all. My cough is burning my chest from being so rough.

but my nose! I’ve never felt soreness like it (and I’ve had two c sections!😂) it’s so dry, and red, and raw in places.. I’ve been trying to dab rather than wipe, I tried using the kids wet wipes (frangrance free) and the burn almost made me cry. It’s becoming unbearably sore. I’ve been smothering my nose in Vaseline but it’s just not doing anything!

Help me?! 😅🫶

You need something with a numbing agent in, like sudocrem or savlon.

shellyleppard · 14/12/2023 14:04

Have you got any sudocrem or hand cream??? Horrible when you get a bad cold and its all sore x

Get some hydrocortisone cream OP. That'll calm it down.

Bepanthen works wonders for this. It's like a miracle just how well it works!

Another for bepanthem, plus the soft tissues (the expensive ones!) Loads of water, fruit and lemsip. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks all! I’ll get my hands on some bepanthen, I wonder if our nappy cream will work in the meantime.. I didn’t think to try that!😂

Nappy cream will work, hope you're better soon!

Bepantham or just Lanolin. You need a coating that protects it from the snot and won't easily wipe away with a tissue.

Sudocream or Weleda skin food (i used the lighter one). I had the same the other week. It stung at first but soon cleared it up.
Feel better soon.
