I promised the kids we could do the Xmas decorations mid December. I feel like it just makes it harder to tidy up /keep things tidy. I have visions of teen ds causing a madness. I want it to be positive. But im feeling really negative 😔

I think ds has dropped from his course although he's not admitting it .

Gosh. Poor DS just can’t do right and he hasn’t even done anything yet!

You need to adjust your mindset, accept that it’s going to be a chaotic, messy decorating session and that a little bit I mess really doesn’t matter -making happy memories does. He won’t be pushing for a reaction by causing madness if you’re already in the thick of it having a jolly time, even if internally you are hating the mess.

How do you know he's not done anything ?

I think you misunderstood. I don't mean messy whilst it's being done. I meant its just harder to keep things tidy once all Dec's etc are up. It seems very silly but it's a big thing when everything is such a struggle. I agree about happy memories so i will do it . I'm trying to sort it so teen ds does the tree as that's what he's asked to do . The other kids can do the other decorations

Ds has decorated the tree . The 2 youngest are not at school tomorrow so I said they can do the other Decorations. I need to buy more really but I'm not going to as its adding up a bit to much money wise . Its not worth over spending on that sort of stuff .

I got a few more bits to wrap then I'm all done.

3 kids are with the ex this weekend so I have good time to get sorted
