Did you get an email from Nectar last night?

...telling you you'd won £200 of gift vouchers? At 4.30pm?

And then get another one at 8.30pm, saying "oops we're sorry about that", the whole thing was a mistake? Bland email saying they were supposed to send a survey, not the email saying I'd won it. I can't remember which surveys I do, I do quite a few because I did win a prize once so always think it's worth a go. To me it was entirely plausible that I might have won.

So four hours, enough time to verify it was a genuine email from Nectar and not a scam, enough time to start getting excited about what to spend it on. £200 right before Christmas?!!

Curious to know how many people this happened to. And who else is a pissed off as I am 😂

Yep I did at 16.40
followed by oops sorry email at 20.32
😡

BlackJumpsuit · 14/12/2023 11:32

I've just called to make a complaint, not that they make it easy.

Sorry that happened to you too - had you started planning how you were going to spend it?!

My complaint, for what it's worth, is not so much about the complaint but about the way it was handled, as if it was a funny joke, which it was not.

Not so much about the mistake* sorry

I can’t believe you called to complain 😂

PlatinumMoon · 14/12/2023 11:49

No, I only checked my inbox after seeing your thread!
I understand how gutted you must feel

Cotswoldbee · 14/12/2023 11:54

Had the email but disregarded it as I can't be doing with promotions, offers etc.
Only checked my deleted messages after reading this thread but no loss as I wouldn't have responded regardless.

I can’t believe you called to complain 😂

I don't normally do stuff like that but they caught me at a stressed, broke - feeling moment 😂

It's not a good way to treat your customers, in any case. Also, they absolutely don't care at all. I was perfectly nice on the phone and I've no doubt that I'll never hear from them about it again.
