Horrible news story *trigger warning animal cruelty*

I didn’t want to post but this story has been playing horribly on my mind.

A man dragged his dog down the street in a car and poor dog died of its injuries.

The man has not received a prison sentence which is despicable really and actually hid the dog from rescuers.

One thing I noticed was that the media has not been reporting his motivation for the act :( Was it an accident or his intention? Either way it’s disgusting and I’m appalled at humanity once again :(

Sure it’s sad but tbh I’m more aerated & vexed about DV and children being assaulted
I appreciate that animal cruelty is ghastly etc but it doesn’t play on my mind, no

It’s worse than that because he dragged it behind his car and then hid the dog so that it could not receive veterinary treatment.
It was eventually found days later after extensive searching of his property by authorities and had to be put down.
It was tied to his car but I’m not sure if he knew he was dragging it although it’s hard to believe it was accidental.

I don’t really understand how anyone could be that cruel?

You can be horrified at both cruelty to animals and to women/kids 🙄

I half read this but couldn't continue

He should be put against a wall and shot imo

@Zone2NorthLondon are you always so heartless?

Zone2NorthLondon · 13/12/2023 23:33

I’m certainly not heartless nor am I inconsolable about animal cruelty. It’s wrong obviously, but on balance it’s not comparable to others things that vex me. Yes I am aware one can be shocked by multiple things concurrently, but in reality for me it’s not got the significance or impetus of other things.
