My nearly 3yo has in the last couple of months become difficult with sleep. It’s gotten progressively worse and we’re at the point she won’t go to sleep, she gets up and constantly says she wants some one to sit with her. The only way to get her to sleep is to sit with her, then, she wakes up minimum 3 times a night. I have to leg it to her before she reaches our room, I take her back to bed and she goes to sleep but only if I wait with her, this happens multiple times a night, never used to. We’ve recently ditched dummy, she’s not even asking for it now but it’s like she has replaced the dummy with needing us. What do we do? Any strategy ideas ?
For background, she has a consistent bedtime routine, always has, has a comfort teddy which she has recently ditched. She has night lights, we read stories before bed. She sleeps in a toddler bed. She is day time potty trained, nappy at night, slightly wet come morning. When she wakes in the night I shoot out of bed and take her straight back to her bed.
