I have been given a lovely gift from colleagues of a £200 John Lewis voucher and I just can't for the life of me think what to get myself.

So please inspire me- if it had to go on your or the house what would you get???

Me - an All Saints leather jacket in the sale, or a new Longchamp bag or sheepskin slippers

House - bedding and towels, or maybe a coffee table

I'm in desperate need of a good chef's pan, so would probably get a really expensive one. Or a coat if they had one that suited.

TheIsleOfTheLost · 13/12/2023 19:52

Well right now, a cuddly toy venus fly trap. You would have a fair amount left over though!

namechangedforthisone35 · 13/12/2023 19:52

I had a similar voucher and I bought Ugg slippers

Borka · 13/12/2023 19:55

Either a Brora fair isle jumper or a load of new towels

PiggieWig · 13/12/2023 19:56

I bought gorgeous cotton bedding with a high thread count. That was 4 years ago and I still swoon a bit when I get in a freshly laundered bed.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/12/2023 19:58

Actually, good pans are a really good idea.

dullandgrey · 13/12/2023 20:04

Ooh that's a lovely gift. I'd get a Diptyque candle, some hourglass make up and perhaps a nice cashmere jumper.

Defiantlynot41 · 13/12/2023 20:05

Don't forget you can also use them in Waitrose if wine/champagne/chocolates/lobster/steak/smoked salmon is more your thing

bjjgirl · 13/12/2023 20:24

Ooh good suggestions, Waitrose is a no go as I get followed round by security when I shop at my local one as I must look dodgy (hilarious as I am actually a cop!)

Don't drink wine either.

I've just treated myself to towels and bedding earlier in the year.

I shall look at pans (although I got them for Xmas last year!)

100% wool yarn, which is pricey these days. Definitely yarn 🧶

ZoChan · 13/12/2023 20:30

Ooh thanks for this, I almost forgot I have a voucher to spend and have found these I want www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-sheepskin-blanket-stitch-platform-cropped-slipper-boots/chestnut/p110970565?size=6#ratings-reviews-section Hope you find something too!

I would save it until I needed something. You can extend the expiry date by doing a balance check.

GodblessHookyStreet · 13/12/2023 20:44

Got my eye on this so would put it towards it

A cashmere travel wrap and a new perfume probably.

Or maybe a Longchamps bag.

I would love a £200 JL voucher!

Gillbertine · 13/12/2023 21:02

Lucky you! Definitely Ugg boots and slippers Smile

therealcookiemonster · 13/12/2023 22:14

a hypnos mattress topper. I have an alpaca one and it's amazing.
anything electrical as they have really good after sale care. a coffee machine? Air fryer?

le creuset cookware? I actually bought a john lewis own brand cast iron enameled pan and the quality is basically the same as le creuset.

OrangeSofa1 · 14/12/2023 18:29

I read this thread yesterday… as if by magic I got a £200 voucher today too! Thanks for the fab ideas. I think I might go the perfume/ luxury makeup route. And wait for the sales so it goes a bit further.
