Or am I misremembering? I'm sure there was one similar in the 80s or early 90s which seemed to be a bit poppier but I can't find anything via Google. Anyone else know what it might be?

No, not that @JaneJeffer I have just been thinking about it and it might even be a more recent song which maybe reminded me of this one, rather than the other way round.

Maybe, but I feel in my head it has different lyrics, something about seasons in the sun. But, again, I could be misremembering or misheard the lyrics. I know, super helpful 😬

Ah I loved this album at the time. I don’t think it reminds me of anything else though.

I think, after listening to it again, it was this song I had heard, but I had the wrong lyrics in my head so it didn't seem to be the same one. It's the chorusy bit where he sings a bit higher and ends with No connection which was stuck in my head
