So in the snow I managed to reverse into a car parked on the double yellows opposite my drive.
No excuse just stupidly didn't look properly as it's double yellows so no one is ever parked there. Anyway no excuse.
I had to go out in a rush so DH knocked on some doors and found the owner who was a healthcare worker visiting our neighbour. He was very grateful we found him as he would have driven off none the wiser. Minor damage to his car and DH gave him our contact details but not my insurer as he didn't know it.
I rang insurer and told them what happened and that I hadn't heard from the chap yet. This was 2 weeks ago and no news. I need to renew my insurance and annoyingly my 10 years NCD is now 3 although as yet there is no claim. I am in limbo so can't really shop around and don't know what to do.
Seems weird the guy isn't sorting it out - will he run out of time?
