I've had paracetamol, Diet Coke ( for the caffeine), food then ibuprofen.

Laying down in a dark room is not an option: I'm working.

Anything I can eat/ drink/ take or do ?

Only if it's a migraine. Won't touch it if it's a headache.

What's the cause of the headache?

Sunglasses, ice pack or heat pack (depends on what works for you), plenty to drink in case of dehydration, sugar (helps me!).

3 large aspirin is better than taking paracetamol or ibuprofen.

No idea why I have a headache. I was fine when I woke up.
I wasn't on my phone or doing anything with tech.
I have aspirin here but haven't tried that in ages. I'd best wait a few hours though as I have had the other meds.

Ice pack. On the most painful area...

White tiger balm or the 4Head menthol stick both help me as do 3 dispersible aspirin. I also like the blue kool n soothe forehead sheets although I put mine on the back of my neck.

I know it sounds crazy but sit with your feet in a bowl of the hottest water you can bare.
Old wives tale but I found it useful during pregnancy when I wanted to be careful about taking loads of pain killers.

I get migraines and headaches. For migraines they are usually triggered by periods. I'm.peri so I add extra oestrogen gel. For a headache , and it sounds weird but hot shower on my head. I always did cold which never worked until a physio told me to try a hot shower as hot as you can manage right over your head. Really helped me but mine may be tension
