What colour are these eyes? (Pic)

Just that really! Filling in DDs forms for preschool and it's asked for her eye colour in her 'about me section'

She was born with very blue eyes, but now IRL they're really hard to see what colour they are. IRL they don't actually have any blue in them, I'm a bit confused as to what colour they are!

What are your thoughts? Theres no filter on this, just a photo I took in my phone with a flash.

I'd say grey.

merrymerrychristmasall · 13/12/2023 10:26

Hazel.

DuploTrain · 13/12/2023 10:26

The answer to these threads when eye colour isn’t clear is almost always hazel.

However in this case they look grey to me.

Monkeytapper · 13/12/2023 10:26

Grey

SkaneTos · 13/12/2023 10:27

Grey.

CutiePatooties · 13/12/2023 10:28

Grey

ToBeOrNotToBee · 13/12/2023 10:30

They're grey.

ToSendOrNot · 13/12/2023 10:30

They look grey with a hazel twist. Beautiful eyes, but I can see why you are struggling to identify the colour!

furtivetussling · 13/12/2023 10:31

They're not hazel, nowhere near enough brown.

This interests me as i see absolutely zero green in her eyes but im interested to see what others see

I didn't know grey was a 'real' eye colour!

Thank you! They've turned this grey colour over the last few months as in the summer she had really light blue eyes!

Interested to see what they turn into next summer (if they will lighten again)

Grey. Its always grey.

Except for when it's Hazel.

We used to sing a sing to DD about her eye colour (hazel) - Are they brown or green or grey? It all depends on the weather that day.

merrymerrychristmasall · 13/12/2023 10:34

I only wrote hazel because grey would never occur to me as eye colour either!

I think hazel is between brown and amber. Sometimes hazel eyes have a green tinge but not necessarily.

Green eyes tend to be quite light and closer to blue/grey I think.

savemytimezone · 13/12/2023 10:35

It's hard to tell with a photo.

I have several photos where my eyes all look different colours.

From this particular photo, I'd say hazel?

Definitely not hazel.

Mostly grey blue with a little brown round the iris.

TurkeyTrotToXmas · 13/12/2023 10:52

Grey definitely.

DirectionToPerfection · 13/12/2023 11:58

Predominantly grey, but she's also got central heterochromia (the colour around the iris being different to rest of the eye) which is quite unusual and striking.

Emilia Clarke has it too.

ChateauDuMont · 13/12/2023 12:02

Grey green.

DirectionToPerfection · 13/12/2023 12:03

Hazel eyes are typically a combination of brown, green and/or gold. Their main characteristic is that they look different colours at different times depending on the lighting. Not simply that there is more than one colour in the eye.

Katherineryan1986 · 13/12/2023 12:39

Definitely not hazel. My eyes, and my daughter’s eyes are hazel and they are not like your photo.

I would say grey and perhaps in good bright light, they would be blue

DisforDarkChocolate · 13/12/2023 12:41

I'm an outlier because I'd have went with blue.
