Nursery staff- what gifts do you like at Christmas?

Got to that time of year where I’m thinking what to get my DS nursery staff for Christmas as a thank you?
Biscuits/Chocolates first to come to mind, but any suggestions would be welcome ☺️

Not a nursery worker (although I used to work in one many years ago) It might just be me, but there are far too many biscuits / chocolates and sweet treats at this time of year. Xmas Grin Most people who work with children love a handmade card from a child and an email to the manager to say how wonderful you think they are.

My DC aren't at nursery anymore, but when they were I used to get a large Christmas gift bag and fill it with things like tubes of nice hand cream, individual face masks, lip balms, bath bombs, novelty emery boards, and that kind of thing (enough for each member of staff to get at least 3 things), hand it over and let them choose for themselves. Seemed to go down well.

I get them a gift card to a local coffee shop

mynameiscalypso · 13/12/2023 12:19

We always give Amazon gift cards

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 13/12/2023 12:27

No alcohol - not everyone drinks, and those that do have their preferences.
No chocolate as will be given from other parents.

As suggested a gift voucher for the coffee shop chain would be lovely, as would an Amazon one.

MeinKraft · 13/12/2023 12:30

I gave them a bag full of those pre mixed cocktails (with a few no alcohol ones) before their staff party. They seemed to like it!

Teabags! We have to provide our own tea and coffee. It's lovely having a stash in the staffroom.

Kate3150 · 13/12/2023 12:48

I was thinking about teabags actually, I might just do a bag of bits and bobs for them x

Boxes of coffee sachets!

Green777 · 13/12/2023 12:55

If you mean an individual key worker, a coffee shop voucher, or chocolates or tea seems a bit mean to me.

We always give a cash bonus.
