How do I cook a basic chicken stew in a pressure cooker. I have a pressure king pro . It seems to be telling me 8 mins that does not seem right to me. I have cooked it a few times but I always forget . I have included the instructions.

Mine just has diced chicken breast, carrots, peas, and stock . But I think it should still ve the same as the above link . But 8 mins seems odd.

I don't have that brand of electric pressure cooker, but chicken breast cooks pretty quickly and remember it is cooking as the pressure cooker reaches pressure.

8 will be fine, you could do 12 but wouldn’t do any longer.

12 mins sounds about right to me. It will cook for a lot longer than that when you consider the heating up time and the pressure release time.
