What is biting me?!

I think something is biting me and I don't know what it is 😭

The first ones I noticed straight after putting our (real) Christmas tree up so wondered if it was something that came in on that?! Now I've woken up with another one and they are all so itchy. I'm panicking what it could be?!

Is it a symptom of covid?

Do you have pets? Could be flea bites bed bugs.. I mean it could be a number of things, its hard to identify what has bitten you, where on your body are the bites ?

Where are they on your body?
Scattered all over, or in one area?

BrimfulOfMash · 12/12/2023 09:44

Is that a part of your body that was in contact with the Christmas tree? I sometimes get an allergic spit reaction if certain vegetation slightly pokes into my skin, walking through long scratchy grass for example.

Fraaahnces · 12/12/2023 09:46

Probably allergic to the tree or dust in the tree

CentrifugalBumblePuppy · 12/12/2023 09:49

It may be mozzies. I can’t say they’ve come in from the tree (DH allergic to real ones, we’re strictly plastic here 😂), but I’ve swatted more than a few over the past week. Lots of standing water thanks to high rainfall and warmer than average temperatures could be the culprit.

They seem to love my diabetes sweetened blood*, my last bite was a few weeks ago.

*the beetus is well controlled, although I’ve always been a mozzie magnet!

They look like flea bites. Cat fleas will bite humans.

Raindrip · 12/12/2023 10:16

We don't have a cat, we do have a dog but he is up to date with flea and worm treatment. Arghhh feel like I can feel things crawling on me now 😭

How big are they?
Scabies?!

Soubriquet · 12/12/2023 15:31

I was going to say flea bites as that second picture looks like a flea bite. The first one…doesn’t look like bites.

DoYouSmellCarrots · 12/12/2023 15:41

Harvest mites or known as chiggers if you live in USA.
They mostly bite where clothing is tight at waitbands, bra strap or sock tops.

Wash all soft things like cushions and throws and use breadsoda on carpets and sofa.

Raindrip · 12/12/2023 19:49

1 is near my bum cheek and the other is on my waist! I'm hoping they are both unrelated and I'm not dealing with some infestation 😭 that's my biggest fear ever
