Literally having to pack whole house/20 years worth of life/stuff very suddenly - I have a week 🥲
I had months to prepare in my last house move and didn’t have a WAFH job

other than
utilities
banks
dvla
insurance

what did you forget to update ?

Trying not to panic but currently caught up in the panic paralysis

Get post redirect/cancellation/hold whatever fits your personal situation best. Very easy to sort.

Change any regular deliveries/pre booked slots for shopping/food delivery or similar.

If you have DC, change any details held for them at school level and for all with the doctors- although your mail redirect should cover you in one respect, it’s best to change direct, especially if your circumstances have changed suddenly.

Council tax?

Can you afford to get someone to pack for you? Then you can concentrate on de-cluttering and admin.

I forgot to notify loads of people. This is a good list:

I agree about post redirection. Once you’ve got that in place it’s only the utilities (including home insurance) that are really time sensitive. You can update your driving license in a week or two for example!

Update your address on the likes of Amazon, eBay or other websites you use regularly for delivery. Supermarkets, Uber Eats and so on. I fell foul of this when I moved!

Hope it all goes well OP.

One really good tip that I used is if you don’t have time to sort before you move, it’s also possible to sort as you unpack.

So, for example, pack a box called “kitchen middle drawer “ and just empty everything from the kitchen middle drawer into the box. Then sort as you unpack. ….
