Gas or electric oven

We are currently planning a new kitchen. I've always cooked with gas, in the past 20 years using a range style cooker.
I'm going to have eye level built in ovens.
No idea if I should choose gas or electric. There seems to be more choice with electric but I don't need 25 programmes and wifi connectivity.
So, what's best? Gas or electric...or one of each ( if I can get them to match!)

Induction

I had a gas cooker until last year when we had a new kitchen. My electric fan oven is a game changer. It heats up so quickly.

I bake a fair amount, and my cakes are just as light and moist as they were in the gas oven, and I like that I can bake on two shelves without any significant change in temperature.

I wouldn't go back to gas now.

I would say gas, but that's because it's what I know.

But I'm well aware when we re due the kitchen or replace it I will probably have to get electric of some form.

Fan oven every time

Electric oven for sure. Also there is no such thing as an Induction Oven and a fan oven can be gas or electric so not very helpful in answering the question 😊

I changed my kitchen recently and chose an electric oven, combi microwave and electric induction hob. Love them all x

Electric oven, every time. Over the years I've used many gas ovens and I've never encountered a good one.

Electric fan oven and induction hob.

Electric, for sure.

Electric ovens cost 4 times to run as gas ovens at current prices.

E.g. I pay 7.41 p/kWh for gas and 30.59 p/kWh for 'leccy.

I like the fact that the temperature isn't constant in a gas oven allowing you to cook things that need slightly different temperatures all in the one oven at the same time.

I have John Lewis electric ovens and they are brilliant!

Thanks all. Looks like the vast majority have electric ovens....so that's what it is!

Gas hob, but electric / fan oven would be my choice.
