Anyone done a Child First Passport recently?

How long did it take and did you DIY or go through the Post office service?

Just done online, submitted photo, got friend to online check, sent off documents and just got notification today that application has been processed and they are printing passport now.
That was 2 weeks so far...

Did it last month and it took 17 days I think.

Online service back in August.
From start to finish, 3 weeks but it took me around a week to send the birth certificate.
Once they received the birth certificate, I received the passport 11 days later.

Did my daughter's online, submitted 27th November, approved 8th December and dispatched today. I had to wait 3 days for my friend to approve the photo though so might have been a bit quicker if he'd done it straight away. Also it tells you to send a huge list of documents eg grandparents birth certs etc, I just send DD birth certificate and it was approved fine.

Also applied online and it took about 3 weeks.

Not a first passport but a renewal. It took approx 2 weeks.

Just following up - got passport today - I sent off docs last week - all in all 2 weeks from start to finish.

First passport for my eldest in August and it took about 10 days I think from start to finish including a bank holiday. I was amazed how rapid it was.

Used the online application and got a friend to confirm ID via a link. I was pretty quick off the mark sending documents.
