Question about changing name and moving - DV related

I've very recently changed my last name via deed poll due to DV/stalker situation. I've got the forms to send off to the DVLA. I need to include the original deed poll so was going to take it all to the post office and get a couple of certified copies of the deed poll at the same time.

I'm getting ready to sell my house so that I can leave the area. I want to get my change of name all sorted so that there's no trace of my old name when I move thus reducing the risk of him finding me.

The issue is, I'm really concerned about getting it all done in time so that it isn't an issue when porting or applying for a new mortgage. If my name isn't updated with all credit companies and the electoral roll in time then I understand I'm going to be refused.

If I send the original deed poll to the DVLA then I won't get it back for 4 weeks-ish apparently. I'll have certified copies but I'm unsure if these will be accepted by everyone, or if they'll also want to see the original. And then there's the issue of how long it will take them all to update their system.

I spoke to my bank online and they said I can't update my name with them until I have my driving licence in my new name.

I'm getting myself into a right twist over it. I don't know if I should leave the name changing business until I've actually moved, but then I worry about being found.

Does anyone have any advice?

I think a certified copy is one you get from the solicitor that is stamped and signed, it was when I did it years ago. It was accepted everywhere I needed it to be.
