Does anyone remember these?

Does anyone remember a range of boxed chocolates that were actually frozen ice cream centres but bite sized? Would have been late 1970s, maybe early 1980s

They suddenly came to mind tonight but no one here seems to remember them but I’m sure I’m not making them up!

Yes I do! Now what were they called? They were brought out at dinner parties.

Yes I do...I recall buying and eating them back in the 70s. Coukdnt have been too expensive either as I was just on pocket money then

BlackJumpsuit · 11/12/2023 07:19

Yes!! Would never have thought of them again though!

I don’t remember them, but this has brought to mind a discussion from last week! Did Punky Penguin have an alien friend? My friend and I are convinced there was a green alien option, looked quite like the wee alien from Toy Story, but google was having none of it!

The chocolates I remember from my childhood are black magic.

SalviaDivinorum · 11/12/2023 19:06

I’m glad I’m not the only one to remember them! Now I just hope the name resurfaces! I can actually see them in my minds eye…

Yes I remember them! Cool when you bit in (though not like ice cream). Did they have lilac foil wrappers?

Yes, they were 1970s. Mint and Orange. Name will probably some back to me a two in the morning ! There were tv adverts for them at the time.

Maybe Dark Secrets ?

aliceinanwonderland · 11/12/2023 19:14

Maybe I should start a new thread but hey ho… staying in the late 1970s era, does anyone remember chocolate Viennas? They were a triangular biscuit of wafer covered in dark chocolate?

Only 20p as well. How times change.

Thank you!

I was shocked by the 20p !! I remember when a Mars bar was 12 1/2 p.

Northernsouloldies · 11/12/2023 21:39

I can remember Iceland doing mini Pavlova's in the 90s(?) I remember my mum getting them as a treat for my pudding over Xmas, loved the nights she'd get a couple out to defrost - the toppings were an orange segment, a raspberry or grated chocolate. I've tried googling but can't find a photo so if anyone can I'd be grateful for the nostalgia!

I also remember a pink ice cream in a cardboard container, probably cuboid in shape that you'd push up as you went, the container was pink with a picture of mini mouse on, I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the damn things, even looking at old ice cream posters

Why they got rid of citrus polos god only knows they were epic
