Curious as to what people get from their employers as a Xmas bonus/Xmas gift

I started new job April 22 and got €1000 so about £700 but that may be because big backlog of work.
We work from home so it was just handed to me on a carpark. Don't know if I will get anything this year.

Absolutely fuck all.

sendismylife · 10/12/2023 19:55

Public sector, so nothing. I think all my team would love them to increase special school places, so we could say yes to more worried parents. Would beat a Christmas card, present, meal, anything!

Passthecake30 · 10/12/2023 19:59

Public sector, we get an extra hour for our Xmas meal. But given as I work over my allotted hours each week, that doesn’t mean anything. Myself and my manager chip together and buy our team members a bottle of something.

Naff all from the civil service ministry itself, but my manager bought me a Coke when we went out for team drinks the other day :)
