Woke up with a painful lump on the bottom of my foot

Just what the thread title says.
Went to bed fine, woke up this morning and the bottom of my foot was really tender when I walked, like a deep bruise.
I can feel at pea size lump but nothing looks different. Don't remember standing on anything...
Any ideas?

Verucca?

Verucca?

There is nothing to see on the skin and have had those in the past and it feels very different. Lump is like as small moveable ball rather than the hardness of a Veruca

Is it near your toe joint? If so maybe a Ganglion, I got one over night. It's like an internal blister. Fluid leaking from the joint. Mine is on the side of my foot. It was pea like, became painful due to its position, burst.. made my foot turn blue and purple but less painful. It is now growing again. I'm still waiting for my hospital appointment.

No - it's right in the middle of my foot - on my instep

Maybe this then..
From google

Plantar fibromas are small — usually less than an inch — and grow on the arch of your foot. You might not even notice one at first, but eventually a plantar fibroma can cause foot pain, especially when you're wearing shoes. Plantar fibromas are always benign, which means they're never a symptom (or cause) of cancer.

Sounds like it, thanks

I had this a few months ago and it went away eventually on its own.

Stygimoloch · 21/12/2023 06:04

@splothersdog Has your lump/pain resolved? I have exactly the same! It’s so painful, especially first thing in the morning and just seemed to come on overnight. I’ve had it since Monday.

splothersdog · 21/12/2023 08:31

It comes and goes. It's very strange!!!

I had this and assumed it was a bite. It went after a week..

Tommalot · 21/12/2023 08:49

Oh I've had this before too. It went away on its own but was quite painful whenever I put pressure on it. Try to rest your foot and check your shoes are giving you proper arch support for when it gets better, as I think it was related.

Gout? Massively painful and comes and goes…

splothersdog · 21/12/2023 18:02

Don't think it is gout. But will check that out
