I’ve been on microgynon for almost 15 years and never really been off it. Not ready to TTC yet but I genuinely didn’t realise I’d run out after my pill break so the NHS took its time to prescribe again and I had to go abroad for a couple of days for work.
In total, I was off the pill for all of two weeks and it was just SO weird. I still can’t really figure it out.
I stopped for my pill break on 20 Nov, got “period” on 22 Nov which had stopped by 26 Nov. So far, so normal. Then 28/29/30 Nov I had several days of being wildly amorous (partner and I used condoms so fine). On 2 Dec I felt extremely emotional to the point of teary and insane, realised I was bleeding again and was very bloated and had sore boobs. It lasted until 4 Dec and was not the heaviest but there was enough of it to need tampons. Went back to being very amorous this week, then started taking the pill again on Friday.
I just can’t really work it all out - has this happened to anyone else? I thought people waited months for periods after the pill, not had two of them and went slightly nuts.
