Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just brewing my first cuppa of the day to drink in my kitchen spot. It's silent down here apart from thr fridge and boiler humming away <bliss> 😊

My plans for the day were to wrap the majority of the girls' Christmas presents and send some Vinted parcels but I don't think the girls are heading out to buy me something now 🤷‍♀️

Instead I'll drag them to Lidl, since dd1 didn't go yesterday, and then spend the day crafting and buying the last couple of online bits for them for Christmas.

They both have homework to do so will make sure that's in the process of being done too.

We're having roast chicken for tea, with roast spuds and veg. Maybe cheese sauce - or maybe Lidls frozen cauli cheese 😋

Tonight will be an early shower for me, a bit more crafting, and then an early night all round.

Morning @lucysmam im enjoying my first coffee of the day with the Christmas tree lights twinkling and DH is walking DDog.

Then bacon rolls for breakfast while catching up on the last 2 episodes of Masterchef the Professionals. Followed by watching the cricket and wrapping the final presents for family.

Steak and chips for tea as didn’t want dinner last night. I’m a celeb later a self care Sunday shower and prepare for my last week at work for the year!

Come back to bed to relax with my dogs and cats and my iPad. Got a cold so feeling sorry for myself, lol, and hopefully doing very little today!

Morning all. I think it’s a quiet one for us today.

Dh is going to help my brother put some furniture together, dd19 is at work later and I plan on just hanging around the house today.

I need to pop to Iceland to pick up some Swedish meatballs for tea (they didn’t come with my Tesco order) and I’ve got a load of washing to do but that’s about as active as my day is going to get.

I might end up at McDonalds for lunch though as dh is hungover after his work Christmas do last night and he’s already suggested it for breakfast but me and dd9 had already eaten.

Still in bed at the moment but will need to shift soon as my lovely dad is taking us out for lunch. Other than that, very little today. Some uniform ironing to do later and bake some GF cookies for DDs lunchbox. Early night again I think

Going away for a couple of days to celebrate DH's birthday. I've booked a v superior room which he doesn't know about.His birthday usually gets overlooked in the December madness and I thought he deserved a treat.

Christmas tree is outside in a bucket and may not get decorated before Christmas but hey.
Life's short and we need to focus on the now and let the future take care of itself.

Just having a pancake with my second brew. Today is Polar Express Day!

So I'll take the dog on a big walk so she's happy when we leave her and then we'll have a Sunday dinner with some chops. We did order a chippy tea last night like I was debating but it never turned up so need to make up for our toast tea!

I am about to have my first coffee and catch up with Strictly… aiming to get the Christmas tree up today and probably sausages and mash for tea. Simple days are always the best.

Coffee, treadmill run, work. Nothing exciting!

I was meant to be doing the Percy pud today (10 k run with a hat and Christmas pudding as a prize) after it was cancelled last Sunday due to snow but been cancelled today as storm damage so been 10k by myself.

Then might give in and put Christmas tree up!

I’m in bed with my second coffee provided by DP. Just us today and no plans for me. Dp is on call and will be doing more of the garden room he’s building. I’ll walk the dog later this morning and pick up whatever we decide for dinner and then just chill I think. Probably a Netflix Christmas movie at some point and last few online presents ordered…

I'm currently drinking my first coffee too. My two ds are colouring/making comics on the carpet in front of the tree. Bluey is on for toddler dd.

Today we have zero plans but I'm thinking a nice walk later on, a hot chocolate when we get home. Dinner will be cottage pie.
I may look up some Christmas craft ideas for kids and do a few of those.

Morning @lucysmam and everyone! I got up earlier to put some meat to defrost for tonight’s dinner of soup and to start a load of laundry. I crawled back into our warm bed to snuggle up some more before properly starting the day. My OH was nicely snoring until a few minutes ago when he finally woke up.

When I muster the energy to get up again, it’ll be breakfast of croissants, eggs, fruit and cheese which I am entirely looking forward to. After that the kitchen needs a proper cleaning because it looks like a bomb went off.

Lots of pottering after that: changing sheets, laundry, maybe some batch cooking and meal planning, washing my hair, decluttering a table, etc. It’s one of those days and I’m going to enjoy it. We have rain the entire day here and I’m going to enjoy being a cozy homebody ☺️ Have a wonderful day everyone!

I’m drinking coffee in bed with the cat. Going to get myself up shortly, help dd with mock revision whilst cleaning the house. When she goes out later to meet friends, dh and I are going to wrap her presents.

@Justonedayatatime11 you just reminded me that we have gingerbread cookie dough in the fridge that I’ve been meaning to roll out and bake. I bought it from Lidl during their Scandi week a couple weeks ago.

Good morning... I was meant to see my mum but I don't think I can face it. I desperately need to do some exercise and get fresh air rather than sit in a car and a boiling hot nursing home.

So I will aim for a bath and a walk, a very gentle day. I've written most of my cards so the walk might go past a postbox.

Fed the cats, 11 this morning.

I've moved some kindling to the 'to burn this winter' half of the woodshed to make space for the fresh wood we chop and harvest for next year's burning.

I'm making a main today to have with roast spuds, quorn, cauli, carrot, cabbage all cooked in the remoska with a cheesy white sauce with yorkshire puddings which we have to use up soon to make more freezer space.

Apart from that, I'll carry on seed sorting.

Morning! I was up early with DS but got the Christmas tree lights on and the fire lit and it was very cosy. DS is now colouring, DH is watching TV and I’m trying to summon the energy to clean the bathroom. MIL is coming over this afternoon for a roast dinner and I could do with doing some homework with DS at some point. I love a Sunday at home!

Feel like ive picked up the lergie that took DC2 out last week so DP is going to take kids for a canal walk, to the local nature reserve and sort them some lunch. I plan to rest but have a mountain of ironing so may tackle that.

Will stick a film on this evening for us all. Definitely a festive film - we can argue about which one later 😉

Food shop due soon and it will probably be something easy like pizza, garlic bread and salad for dinner.

Have such a heavy week coming up, I really need to ward off this cough / cold.

Morning @lucysmam and everyone else here. Am still in bed, had my usual tea and toast but had marmite too for a change. Dull and grey here. Will go to the local shopping centre later myself when the football is on. Which it seems to be on ALL day on a Sunday

We've watched a Christmas film this morning in bed, minus the eldest.

I've already done the washing so apart from a bit of ironing not a lot of boring chores.

Just came down for breakfast.

Footballs thankfully cancelled. Although 6yo has a party this afternoon for a couple of hours.

Slow cook curry for dinner.

We have a lovely day planned! We are going to lunch at Cote, before going to a performance of Handel's 'Messiah' at the Cathedral. One of my grandsons is a chorister and this will be the first time I have been to see him sing. It will also be the first time I have seen my daughter and the rest of the family since the beginning of May.
Then when we get home we will have a delicious evening meal of French onion soup with cheesy croutons, I made the soup yesterday, so that will be easy, and I expect we will be in bed by around 7.30pm. Neither of us is very well and we will both be missing our afternoon naps. Well worth it though!

I’m also in my favourite spot having a first coffee and planning my day. Also a bit
of reading while it’s lovely and quiet.

DD has just been down for bin bags with a determined look about her so I suspect she’s going to blitz her room.

DH will be in bed until 1pm as he’s on nights. Last one before 2 weeks off thank goodness.

I’ve got to take DS to work later as there are no trains. Will find somewhere nice to walk the dog after I’ve taken him.

Im going to have a bash at making some Bounty bars and also some chocolate orange cookies and peppermint creams.

DS works at Maccies so DD and I are going to have it for dinner when we go and pick him up.

Absolutely pouring with rain here. Just for a change!

I'm going to clean out the turtle tank and write my Christmas cards that I must get in the post tomorrow. Actually, there's a thought, I've only received two cards, I've normally had loads by now. I wonder if people just aren't bothering anymore. Stamps are so expensive.
