Interested to know about everything be it luxury or mundane
I was late to the game but now use my air fryer daily. I also love my earbuds.

Oh and the log burner. Big draughty house with high ceilings and probably saves 4 hours of heating a day.

Purplecatshopaholic · 10/12/2023 10:49

Two of my three rescue dogs!

ItsBlue · 10/12/2023 10:49

Electric carpet sweeper, great for spot hoovering.
Air purifier ( not a dehumidifier ) absolutely brilliant.

CranfordScones · 10/12/2023 10:49

In 2023, not much! I'm an old-school radio listener (no tv) so upgraded my main radio to one with DAB+ (rather than regular DAB).

Not actually in 2023 but I have 2 dehumidifiers - a regular one and a Meaco desiccant one which works better than the other one at lower temperatures. That's useful if you're a heating refusenik like me. They make a huge difference and are much cheaper to run than the heating.

Still haven't got an air fryer - see next year's thread!

Filter drip coffee machine. Cheap as chips to buy, no faffing with those little pods of coffee, delicious coffee. Just put it in a sip cup and off I go. I've saved a fortune on take away coffee!

My electric blanket. Never knew I needed one but it's a total game changer! I've just got in from a night out and waited in the freezing cold for a taxi home. My DP put it on ready for me and it's heavenly.

Same here. I look forward to going to bed in the winter now. Don't know why I didn't have one before.

Mine is an overblanket.

LardoBurrows · 10/12/2023 10:57

Floor standing fan when we had the hot spell this summer, kept me cool.
Dehumidifier, steamy kitchen and damp bathroom thing of the past and dries my washing.
Sony earbuds, now I can listen to music and audio books on the move, game changer.
Brushed cotton sheets and duvet covers, so much warmer than regular cotton bedding.
A Kuddly hoodie blanket, keeps me so warm that I've hardly had the heating on since I got it.

Mothmansknickers · 10/12/2023 11:03

The only item I've bought that I wish I'd purchased years ago is my rabbit vibrator. I really didn't know what I was missing. Nearly blew my head off.

Well this thread has cost me £200!

What did you get?!

HairdryerMary · 10/12/2023 11:09

@Mothmansknickers you need the Tracey's dog one, it's sublime

Tacotortoise · 10/12/2023 11:10

Kenwood multichef thing. Can't imagine why I didn't get one 20 years ago.

Also, a bathroom cabinet with sensor and underlight. This was an accidental discovery (I wanted the cabinet, not the light particularly) but now, no more blundering around or blinding myself when I go for a wee at night.

beetr00 · 10/12/2023 10:35

@MeinKraft is it this mop? 🙂

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CNM68VN7/

I do hope so as I've just purchased 😂

Edited

Yeah that's the one! I love mine! I had looked at the flash speed mop and power mop but the thought of using wipes on the floor didn't appeal to me, having to keep buying more and couldn't imagine they do a proper clean.

Gingerboy22 · 10/12/2023 11:18

Air fryer!

Autumn1990 · 10/12/2023 11:18

Manual carpet sweeper. No dragging the hoover out a few times a day to deal with the bits from the logs that seem drag everywhere

JPMJuliz · 10/12/2023 11:21

Apple Watch! Why did it take me so long to get one?! 🤦🏻‍♀️

JPMJuliz · 10/12/2023 11:22

MeinKraft · 09/12/2023 23:43

I bought one of those mops off Facebook that has a wet side and a dry side and I love it. Sometimes I just think about how much better life is now I don't have soaking wet floors for an hour after mopping (I dunno why but this house it takes forever for the floors to dry in winter even when the heating is on)

could you post a link or a photo please? Fed up of buying sheet for my Flash mop! Thank you.

Magnesium oil - just rub it in wherever I ache after a long run and in 5 minutesor so I'm not creaky anymore.Genuine snake oil moment....

Sequinne · 10/12/2023 11:28

Sage coffee machine!

beetr00 · 10/12/2023 11:30

Airfryer, used at least once a day, absolutely love it. Also my drying pod £49, with free del. Bargain and so nice not to have clothes draped over the radiators now.

Do you have a link to this please?

listsandbudgets · 10/12/2023 11:31

A shower rack. I don't know how I've got through life without one. No more fumbling about on the floor for soggy soak and slippy shower gel bottles

A new tin opener - can't believe what a difference it makes - my last one bumped about and left jagged edges

A small clip on reading light. I like to read if I wake in the night but a proper light wakes DP. I can read - he can sleep

A hair brush specifically to be kept in shower to brush conditioner through

2 spare remote controls for TV - means we can nearly always find at least one of them

CormorantStrikesBack · 10/12/2023 11:33

An ionic barrel hairbrush, made such a difference to the smoothness of my hair.

orangeflutterby · 10/12/2023 11:34

I bought a top of the range LED Mask with Red and NIR light, I look 25 again!

willWillSmithsmith · 10/12/2023 11:36

Faux fur lined and fleece lined leggings. I only discovered them a few weeks ago and now I need to stock up on more. They make a real difference from ordinary leggings on a cold day.
