Interested to know about everything be it luxury or mundane
I was late to the game but now use my air fryer daily. I also love my earbuds.

Dual drawer Ninja air fryer! Game changer!

Olderbutt · 11/12/2023 17:51

Dual drawer Ninja airfryer. Lots of research first. Im so pleased with it. Ear buds on my Christmas list!

Tiny little thing but
Vinyl Nail Wraps. Nail varnish never lasts on my nails, not even a day. I hate gels and other similar. They make my nails feel clunky and uncomfortable and I can't resist chewing them off when they start to chip.
Vinyls are around £1 a set. Look just like well applied varnish and last for at least a week. I love them. I still don't wear them all the time but they take about 10 minutes to do (after practicing a few times) and stay looking fabulous - and when I eventually peel them off, there is no nail damage

I love them - Lily and Fox were my faves, and my nails grew to unimaginable lengths, but sadly after wearing them pretty much non stop for two years, my nails became very week, and it's taken me a year to get them healthy again. Which brand do you use?

sc0nes4t · 11/12/2023 17:57

Slimpod. Life changing. Chocolate no longer holds any interest and I have a much healthier, stress-free relationship with food.

Fluffmum · 11/12/2023 18:02

Amazon fire stick and Tassimo coffee machine

Stressedmum1966 · 11/12/2023 18:06

Air Fryer - I deliberated for over a year, saved and bought a double Ninja one.

Northernlass99 · 11/12/2023 18:06

Plug in heated fleece blanket. Love it.

@Purplecatshopaholic why only 2 of them 😢😢

I would presume that the other dog was acquired previous to 2023 and therefore doesn't come under the remit of this thread?

Chocolatepeanutbuttercupsandicecream · 11/12/2023 18:31

Air fryer for me as well!
Also.. these may have been bought a bit previously, but came into their own this year.. prescription sunglasses. I now have a commute that faces into the low winter sun at both ends and would have really struggled without them.
And slightly vain, but acrylic nails. I just love that my nails always look good, and they give me a little boost.

wherestheweightlosspill · 11/12/2023 18:32

I know this is the opposite of the spirit of this thread but I feel like a failure.... I bought this year:

  1. An air fryer
  2. Nail wraps
  3. Robot hoover
And all of them totally useless, what am I doing wrong?? Admittedly I bought a relatively cheap air fryer (£120) but it has a fairly small basket and takes as long to do chips as the oven. I tried fancy recipes like air fried chick peas (I love chick peas) and they were rank. Tried burgers, they were dry and horrible.... so it's just a white elephant.

Nail wraps, I really wanted to love but they took ages, couldn't get them to properly fit my nails so they looked pants and came off quickly.

Robot hoover, got one recommended on here. It picks up very little and gets stuck absolutely all the time. Now the Christmas tree is up I wouldn't even consider using it as it would be stuck in with the presents for days.

I am a total victim of Mumsnet swears by, and then as you can see, live to regret it.

Premier Inn 10.5 tog duvet. I love it so much that we have bought them for all our children as they are so cosy, thick and snug

I would be the same had I bought any of those. I have an unopened waffle maker in the cupboard. I don’t even like waffles.

Wireless headphone headband. Amazing! Can fall asleep listening to relaxing youtube videos, lying on my side comfortably.

Also can use them with white noise to cover DH's snoring - sadly his snoring is usually too loud for me to use on a nightly basis as it wouldn't be good for my ears night after night at high volume, so spare bed is going to continue to be used. OTOH, still an option for the odd night when we have to stay in a hotel or a friend's house - did that the night before an early flight and it worked well.

My third one was actually my first one if you see what I mean - not adopted in 2023..

😂 I also have a Churros maker (from the middle aisle of Lidl) and I hate Churros. I thought the kids would fancy having a go but the thing has never come out of the box...

My sholley.

@Echobelly which wireless headband do you have?

gottogonow · 11/12/2023 19:01

I would have to say my Widex hearing aids. They make hearing feel joyful rather than harsh, & music sounds beautiful. Worth every penny.

PhotoFirePoet · 11/12/2023 19:08

An exercise bike! I go for walks in Spring and Summer and occasionally Autumn but once the cold and horrible weather kicks in, my fitness suffers as I’m a fair weather Walker only! 😆 This way I can cover up to 10 miles a day in the comfort of my own home. Have used it daily, except when I have a migraine, since I got it in September. 😊

Blades2 · 11/12/2023 19:12

Weed ? 🤩

Tinkerbell1980 · 11/12/2023 19:13

Stanley travel mug, doesn't leak so i can throw it in my bag, keeps my coffee warm all day. Game changer.

KarenandFour · 11/12/2023 19:13

My heated blanket!

Idontgiveashitanymore · 11/12/2023 19:23

PurpleFlower1983 · 11/12/2023 19:24

Love my AirPods and my dual zone Ninja air fryer.

JenFor · 11/12/2023 19:26

A ukulele! Absolutely love playing with the local ukulele band, and have met a fantastic bunch of people.
