Interested to know about everything be it luxury or mundane
I was late to the game but now use my air fryer daily. I also love my earbuds.

I’ve got a few this year;

panda mattress topper - absolute bliss getting in bed

electric blanket - what’s not to love about getting into a warm bed

Apple Watch - helped me lose 2st and still going. aiming for 3, maybe 4st, will see!

Bose earphones - absolutely amazing. The noise cancelling even greatly reduces noise when you’re on an aeroplane! I actually fell asleep in the airport they’re that good. (These were a gift but possibly one of the best gifts I’ve ever received!)

lumie sunset/ sunrise alarm clock. Love bed time with the sunset

@NannyGythaOgg oh I’m going to try some of these after seeing your post! I’ve seen them in shops but wonder how you put them on neatly around the edges? Or do they magically fit your nail size? X

Coverless duvets - I hated putting on duvet covers, and my elderly cat often pukes hairballs on my bed Confused
Someone was asking about superking - Fine Bedding has some.

Airfryer of course

One-size clothing - total gamechanger for me - found a few online boutiques that do one-size, no more guessing what size to order!

Ring doorbell - love it

Very slim (20-24cm) low bookshelves and drawer units - fit behind doors and in small bathroom for extra storage (Amazon)

We got new built in wardrobes, such a game changer! So much more space to put stuff! In terms of purchases, I bought 13.5 tog duvet and realised how good they are in the winter!

Other good purchases over the past few years - apple watch, air fryer, hand held hoover, Bose portable blue tooth speaker, good quality knives from John Lewis, an electric boiled egg maker, GHD hair straightener, clinique colour pop lip stick, il makiage foundation, magic mould remover.

Is the foundation good? I keep looking at it but not bought yet!

I bought one of those mops off Facebook that has a wet side and a dry side and I love it. Sometimes I just think about how much better life is now I don't have soaking wet floors for an hour after mopping (I dunno why but this house it takes forever for the floors to dry in winter even when the heating is on)

@MeinKraft - would you mind posting a link?

Gemstar3 · 10/12/2023 22:56

Great thread! Mine is a heat pump tumble dryer. Never had a tumble dryer before so it’s a total game changer. I no longer have to look at washing on an airer all day every day and no longer feel stressed about putting washing in on time for it to dry on time. The heat pump element meant I was finally able to persuade DP as it is pretty efficient https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-WQG24509GB-SelfCleaning-SensitiveDrying-Freestanding/dp/B09XHRNW9B

Thermomix - use every single day, often multiple times.

Dehumidifier - absolutely non-negotiable in an old Victorian house. The amount of moisture it drew in when we first switched it on was alarming. When I see houses on our road with awful condensation on the windows I wish I could knock on their door and just tell them to get a dehumidifier! Also a game changer for drying clothes.

Miele hoover.

That's the bit that takes a bit of practice.

You can measure the width of your nails and cut to the right width, or use a sharp blade to cut the excess - with extreme care.
First time I did not get neat edges, second time was better. Not perfect - but much better than trying to get neat varnish and not smudge it
Practice - eventually - makes perfect

Yes, it is really good and a perfect match to my skin colour! Very pleased. It is quite amazing how the colour is matched just by an online quiz!

MrsPositivity1 · 10/12/2023 23:35

vielda spin mop

PerkingFaintly · 10/12/2023 23:36

I'm so pleased to see all this dehumidifier love.

I've been recommending them for years, but there's always that niggling concern that some people might have splashed out but somehow it hasn't been the right solution for them. Not that I can imagine how!

Ariela · 10/12/2023 23:38

A set of 3 stainless steel sieves in Waitrose, reduced to clear at 99p. https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/john-lewis-stainless-steel-sieves-set-of-3/872939-761720-761721
Fits perfectly in between the giant and tiny ones I already had.
I do a lot of baking, and it's great to have one each size.

I've been taking it since March and my hair is thicker and longer than it has been for years, and I have tons more energy. The biggest difference though is that my knees feel 10 years younger and the joint pain I would sometimes get has completely gone. I am mid 40s and it really has changed my life :)

@AutumnNamechange

donyou have a link?

id really appreciate it. X

I bought myself an electric hot water bottle and wouldn't be without it now! Absolutely recommend them to everyone!!

How is it an improvement on the traditional hot water bottle?

Ecnerual · 11/12/2023 00:02

A bread machine.

Held off buying one for ages thinking it'd take up space and not get used but we use it several times a week for delicious, freshly baked bread. Absolutely love it. It was just cheapy one second hand off marketplace too.

It is quite big so I bought a freestanding shelf for behind the kitchen table that it lives on.
