Moved to a new build after lifelong period properties.

Never going back, it's so lovely .

Cluster lashes. I’ve never been able to apply falsies and spent a fortune (and ruined my eyelashes) getting extensions for my sad tiny lashes. But these are easy peasy to apply and last ages.

Which ones, please?

Magnesium oil - just rub it in wherever I ache after a long run and in 5 minutesor so I'm not creaky anymore.Genuine snake oil moment....

I use the magnesium spray to help with sleep. I do think it works.

Dry robe. I probably appear on that Facebook group but I don’t care. I love it.

actually I don’t wear it away from swimming/cold weather but it’s just brilliant.

Electric bike! Love it and go everywhere by bike rather than by car or bus.

Just curious what model you have? TIA

Wimpeyspread · 10/12/2023 13:41

A truly hideous full length sugary pink ‘oodie’ - it’s so warm and cosy, and saves on the heating!

Alexa plugs. I have my electric blanket and doorway lamp plugged in so if I'm coming home late I can switch the light on (live alone and hate to come home to darkness) and my electric blanket on the way. Coming home to a warm bed after a long day feel like heaven. I'm planning on an alexa bulb for the hall way so I can switch it on and off from bed instead of stubbing my toes in the dark.

I got a Tapo bulb for my hall light. It comes on at dusk and off at 11.30 but I can change that if I want. It has made a huge difference to coming in at night, security as well as not stubbing my toes in the dark.

@MsFogi it was on Amazon and billed as “Yumasia kumo yumcarb rice cooker”. I think it was about £80. We eat rice several times a week and it never burns and keeps warm. Utterly fail proof and just so convenient.

My Dyson airwrap. The amount of time it saves me and makes my hair look salon blow dried. Life saver with a toddler! Wouldn't be without it

Nail Wraps

I bought a couple of sets very very cheaply from Temu. One was excellent, one stayed on well but the pattern was on the surface so although the wraps were still there, the pattern was disappearing.

Having decided I like them I have now ordered these from Amazon. 22 sheets for £10, so less than 50p per manicure. Bargain

There's plenty of choice on Amazon, just look for good reviews. These ones have reviews with pictures which I appreciated.

You need to avoid the ones that are called gel wraps, unless you have a uv light to complete the curing.

You need to avoid putting your hands in hot water for about 6 hours (the longer the better really) but once they have set I have washed up in hot water, showered and washed my hair with no issues.

They say you can protect them better with a clear top coat but I haven't tried that.

The picture is one nail; I put it on nearly a week ago

Edit - They also peel off easily when you want to remove them and haven't damaged my nails at all. My nails are thin, so I clean them but don't buff them before applying. I also have ridgy nails too and that hasn't caused a problem

For the house the dehumidifier, absolute game changer. Clothes on the airer are dry in hours and it’s helped with the condensation on the windows.

For myself probably my Dyson airwrap. I love it!

Robot hoover! Waking up to a hoovered house is amazing

I got of these too! And it mops as well! Best thing ever!

OvertiredandConfused · 10/12/2023 14:07

Tomato knife! Really thin and really sharp, so the seeds don’t go everywhere

Three-in-one charger to put next to my bed, — AirPods, Apple Watch and phone all charging in one place so I don’t have lots of wires and don’t forget where they are.

BerriesNutsConkers · 10/12/2023 14:08

I love my Crimpit for wraps. Endless combinations of fillings and the kids can't get enough of them!

A mini dishwasher which doesn't need to be plumbed in (tiny kitchen here!)

@Needcoffeeimmediatley could you tell me which one you bought please? Ta x

Charlize43 · 10/12/2023 14:09

A Dehumidifier (20L EVA ION PRO) which is absolutely amazing!

Last winter I couldn't afford to have the heating on so often, and I had developed a black mould problem (wash off with white distilled vinegar or bleach) in the corners of some of the rooms that had two external walls.

No sign of mould or even condensation on the windows in the mornings now as all the moisture is sucked up by the dehumidifier. Problem solved!!!

Drying clothes indoors in the winter months is easier as you stick the dehumidifier in the bathroom with them. It is surprising how much water a dehumidifier collect. The EVA ION Pro was voted Which Best Buy in 2022.

I got some rip off AirPods for £20 off Amazon and use them everyday

summerlovingvibes · 10/12/2023 14:10

Thermal long sleeved vest. Feels like a whole new world having this extra warm layer!

Togekiss · 10/12/2023 14:12

Miele Hoover. Had a wireless Dyson previously but I always forgot to put it on charge which renders it useless. Plus after a while of using it I found the suction to be really quite shit.

Miele is a powerhouse. Huge vacuum bag space and the suction is ridiculously good.

Yes, it’s not as handy for doing the stairs or going out to the car and giving it a whiz around (will still bring out the retired Dyson for these) but it’s just superior in every way.
