Blackcurrant and/or raspberry liqueurs - which are the best quality and value?

I've heard it said that De Kuyper cassis isn't all that good. I don't know as I've never tried it. Likewise Chambord. I know Marks and Spencer make their own liqueurs but do these and other store brands stack up against known makers ?

Thankyou.

I've had the Tesco finest cassis and it was nice. I feel like Chambord is expensive for how much you get. Doesn't last long if you're knocking out french martinis and it's very sweet.

Framboise is lovely in a champagne cocktail

Interested as I used to wait for trips to France to stock up on Cassis but now see to be limited to Bv Cassis or Chambord.

I'm not too fussed but am catering for someone who is very fond of their Cassis.

Make your own raspberry vodka - tastes amazing and you use it the same as chambord. It needs to sit for a few weeks but it’s worth it.

FramboiSe from where doggy??

Thanks all. If I end up with either it will be to add to Cava for a more interesting aperitif.

For next year make blackberry liqueur. It's really easy and tastes nothing like whiskey when it's finished. Use any bottle, i like to use a clean 1ltr spirit bottle. Fiill it 1/3rd with blackberries. Cover them with granulated sugar, about 2 cm over. Fill bottle up to just below neck with cheap whiskey. Shake once a day until all the sugar is dissolved, then put in the cupboard. Shake once a week for about 10 weeks then strain and enjoy! Don't leave much past 12 weeks though as it can become woody tasting. You can add more sugar if you are looking for a sweeter version.

This cassis is absolutely delicious. I tired it at a foodie show and have bought it ever since. So blackcurranty

I bought the Marks and Spencer creme de cassis in the end. Oddly enough, more expensive than de Kuyper. It was good in a glass or six of Cava. Plenty left too.
