I wonder if anyone can offer some advice.
DH 51 has suddenly been made redundant from a high pressured management in construction industry. It was well paid but took its toll on his mental and physical health.
He is temping nights until something permanent comes but is adament he doesn't want to go back into the rat race.
What he does want to do is to apply for jobs to do with his degree (Environmental Management and Technology) and has seen vacancies with our local water board. Massive pay cut but we could make it work.
However it is some 25 years since graduating and he is unsure how to construct his CV. The path he did take did have some environmental and energy efficiency aspects but how to tie those in with the jobs he is applying for?
He could bring a wealth of experience to the roles but has no idea how to sell himself being up against younger applicants with very specific and more recent experience.
