Right I know I have done this before. And it seems odd to alot of people
But when I do theses photos it motivates me into doing something about it . If I show MN I have no choice but to fix it . So I'm gonna get working on this mess and hopefully it will look better in a while.

Cheering you on! A quick win would be to gather up everything that's actual rubbish and get it in the recycling/bin. I'd then put things like the spray bottle back in their rightful place - then you have a clean surface to tackle the boxes and bags by the window.

Good on you. It’s so hard to get started but it feels good once you get going and even better when you finish. I have a room much worse that this that I need to tackle….wish me luck!

The boxes bags near the window are doing my head in they been there a good couple of weeks . Its Xmas stuff that i Need to wrap. I need to find a better place to put them. Because it's just messing things up being there. And yeah the bits on the unit should not take long

I'm not really feeling motivated for wrapping at the moment. I have just emptied some of the cupboards. Hoping I can fit tjr Xmas boxes in there. The large box is doing my head in... oh maybe I cam get it on top of the freezer 🤔

Fuck that. I’d be in front of that excellently enormous HD telly with a glass of wine, watching a shit Christmas film on Netflix. The mess will tidy itself up.

Other end of the room is just as bad. I'm getting the 2 youngest to sort most of that . And good luck in sure you will get there 👍

The boxes are a temporary thing if they are just holding your Christmas presents so it's not too important where you store them.

The boxes aren't the biggest problem IMO, just pick up all the crap that's all over the floor and the unit.

I know . But they clogging up the corner and I keep dumping stuff there . I have managed to tone the area down though

Empty and sort the boxes. Bag charity & bin stuff. Get your floor clutter free and nothing on surfaces. Use the shelves. Get 80% away and out your room, you don't need it. That's how I need to live and it's so much easier to tidy a nearly empty room!!

The boxes are being filled /wrapped not emptied . The Xmas boxes are like hampers that I'm filling . The big cardboard box has an air fryer inside that I Need to wrap. I have at least moved it out of the way now though .

I put all the stuff on to sofa, including stuff off sides, then vacuum and clean. That way I am working in a clean room and putting stuff away from sofa tidily

I agree with this 100%. I see plenty of rubbish on the shelves/floor, plus things that need to be put away somewhere else. I think these are the main issue.

That's what I'm doing . As I said im hardly going to put some boxes away them leave the crap everywhere. As long as the outcome Is OK it does not matter how I do it.

Yeah I'm kind of doing that i have managed to put quite a bit of stuff under the stairs. I'm 80% there with the unit now. I just need to adjust the doors a bit , wipe it down then it's done
