What causes prickly tongue, hands and feet?

It’s obviously nothing serious as I’ve had it on and off for years, but does anyone else get pins and needles in their mouth and on the palms of their hands and the soles of their feet?

It can be a sign of low vitamin B12 or vitamin D, so it is worth getting checked with the GP. Or just take at least vitamin D supplements as the majority of people in the UK are deficient, especially in winter
