Crimpit

How on earth do they work? I got both the square one and the semi circle one for wraps. Haven't tried the wrap one yet but the square one doesn't work at all.

Trial number 1: thins with a bit of cheese and chilli between them. Pressed down hard with the top crimpit square. So hard that I couldn't get tjr thins out of the bottom crimpit again without kind of tearing the thins.

Trial number 2: used thins again with a single thin slice of cheese. Just pressed down normally. Thins came out of the crimpit fine. Put it in the toaster and shock and behold the thins came apart in the toaster. Thankfully I could fish out the slice if cheese before it touched the toaster heating element.

What am I doing wrong? They've got such good reviews. I'm scared to try again in case they leak and ruin the toaster. Or are they really just rubbish?

I actually bought another pair before trying it out myself to give friends for Christmas but I can't give them to anybody if they don't work. :-(

I thought you meant the hair ones!

I got the wrap one. I was so excited. They are completely shit. I've given up and shoved it in the cupboard. It's easier (and nicer) to just make quesadillas in the frying pan. I also like to make filled wraps into a square shape and do them in the sandwich toaster.

I use the thins one and fry them in butter. I never use the toaster.

I thought you meant round things you buy from the bakers ( that are like pancakes) that we used to call crimpits - maybe only where I'm from though?

I'd say frying is the only way. I did a wrap one in the air fryer (which didn't quite fit) and it just curled up and burned a bit before the contents had even heated through. Plus, butter is lush!

I have the wrap one and use it lots.

I usually stick it in the airfryer.

Kids love bbq chicken. Cheese and beans. Tomato, salami and cheese etc

I would write what you've wrote here in a message to the company on Facebook and see what they suggest
