I'm going to caveat this with I will be calling them this morning to clarify. But I've not had to deal with this before, and noone I know seems to have had this either so I can't guage how normal it is.
Someone went into the back of my car a few days ago. All very minor, there is a small dent in the back of my car. Car is fine, it got me home and I drove it to work the next day.
Spoke to insurers yesterday. Talked of sending the car off for repair - I asked if it could wait til the New Year to be done as work, Christmas, plus the car is going in for it's MOT and service, and it would just be easier to do it then. Well, they mentioned that the car is uninsured until it's fixed as it's damaged. Even though it's roadworthy?
Does this sound normal? I know I should have pressed it more at the time, but I am feeling completely overwhelmed with life at the moment so I'm not great with huge amounts of info thrown at me over the phone at the moment. (And if it's true, it really really fucks with everything and just the mere thought of that is sending me into a tail spin).
