Horrible cold symptoms

I've been ill with what I assume is a bad cold or something since Sunday. My DH has had it and my toddler has had an ear infection with it too. The body aches seems to have gone but still got a cough and congested. Today iv had the most horrific sudden onset of headaches. Coming and going but each time lasting for a few minutes. Its one side of my head. Always in the same place. The pain is horrific. Is this just because of my cold? I've got myself all wound up I've got a brain tumor or something in my brain is about to rupture. I've worked myself into such a state. Please someone tell me im being bloody ridiculous. I'll look like a right twit if I go to A & E with a headache. Especially since I'm full of cold.

It sounds like either a very bad cold or covid. (All your symptoms sound exactly like both times I had covid). Hope.you feel better soon

Also the headaches might be if your sinuses are congested. Maybe breathing in some steam with Vicks or olbas oil might relieve it a bit

Thank you. My sinus have b and n a bit congested. Had a lot of facial pain too. I just didn't think the headache was sinus related because it's on the side of my head above my ear but covers one half of my head almost. I've had covid four times.. whatever this is a million times worse.

It's certainly worth a covid test, if only to rule that out. The current version differs from previous ones and shares a lot of features of bad colds.
