Leeds Christmas Market 2023 - have you been?

Anyone been to it this year? Thinking of taking teenage DC tomorrow.

The reviews are not good. Is it worth it for festive atmospherics alone? Fully expect not to find any gifts and also to pay £20 for chips 😁

Do you live nearby? I wouldn't make a special trip from another city but if close worth a quick trip. I haven't been this year but I feel it's a bit more worth it if you're going to have a drink and food. It feels a bit like a night out kind of place rather than delightful family experience.
Other than that it's mostly overpriced and quite small.

It's weirdly spread out this year so really it's just a trip to Leeds with added stalls selling tat and food! Probably quite Christmassy if not raining!

Yes to tat and food. Just came in to explore and we were underwhelmed. Much better when it's all in one place and frankly the German-style tat was better than what they offer now.

It nice. I enjoyed it. However ...£8 for a few sliced potatoes on sticks...£4 for 3 marshmallows I toasted myself and £6 for 3 pieces of fudge! Had a few rides too ! It was a nice way to spend a few hours

We went to the one at LeftBank, Leeds recently, it was brilliant. Free entry, and lots of stalls selling lovely things. I think they've got another one on before Christmas (you can look it up on FB). There's a coffee bar with nice cakes as well.

It was so much nicer than the generic one we went to in Harrogate.
