How long did you have muscle aches for?

I've had it since Tuesday and my ribs still hurt!

Are you sure it isn’t flu? Muscle aches are a symptom of flu rather than colds.

Muscle aches are listed as a cold symptom on NHS website.

I'm just curious as I've had mine 4 days not and dp thinks they should be gone by now.

Mine are just easing up today. Ive lost track as ive been feeling ill for weeks but i know it was really bad 7 days ago.

I’ve had it for 9 days now, my muscles all still hurt, still got a streaming nose as well. The worst cold virus I’ve had in decades tbh.

I've actually not long ago had pneumonia and was in hospital with it.

Just hope it's a cold and nothing else.

Week 3 for me, turned into a horrible chest infection. Got antibiotics yesterday so hoping that will help. I thought I was over the cold, had a day where I felt OKish and then started coughing with lots of phlegm and it just got worse.

I have had mine since Sunday, i though i was getting better yesterday but today i woke up and seems like my cough is very chesty with phlegm, my whole body aches, my face is burning up and i am shivering, taking ibuprofen and lemsip, but it isn't helping. I had covid a few weeks ago and another horrible cold before that. I give up

What kind of aches? The muscle aches I get when I'm feverish/at the worst but at the start of a cold? They took about 3 days. Muscle aches in my chest and abs because am regularly coughing until I'm sick? 10 days and counting.....

So I'm just getting out of the other side of Covid and the muscle aches were horrific. So might not be a cold. It was totally different this time to when I had it last 2 years ago. Almost no cough, but very congested, terrible sinus pain, awful muscle aches, fever and then down the line a very upset tummy and breathless.

I had it and it was covid for me, horrendous head cold and congestion and a hacking cough and muscle pain across the top of my chest. The pain lasted a good couple of weeks after everything else cleared up!

My aches are mainly legs and arms

Sounds like mine :( In my third week. Got antibiotics yesterday and pulled my intercostal muscle yesterday when I coughed as I laid flat in the bath and felt something in my back pop. In agony 😭

I’m day 7 and still feeling terrible. Awful cough that I can’t seem to stop once it gets going. Also conjunctivitis which has started today. My sons have both had it as well with the same set of symptoms very strange virus!

One of my dc had it but they were only unwell for 2 days.

Hope you're feeling a bit better. The antibiotics are helping so I'm hoping it will all be over soon. I've done something to my back as well. It's a bit achey until I cough and then it is agony.

Went to the OOH today I’ve developed tonsillitis and a chest infection! Feeling very sorry for myself and miserable! Any ideas how can make life a little more bearable until the antibiotics kick in?

Currently in bed with bad cold, started feeling shitty Thursday. Feel like ive been run over. Headache, earache, chesty cough

I'm 5 days in , the start of it for me was my bladder felt like it's attached to 2 charging Elephants and aching and pains in arms and legs and around hips. Really tickly cough no actual head cold but now I have sneezing like I have pepper up my nose. But bizarrely starting to feel better. I have no idea but I got to pull out my little stash of sweets and snuggle with my dog .
