Should we go to a walk in or wait until 21st Dec?

i should start this by saying that i had pneumonia and sepsis 7 years ago which has made me really jumpy about chest things!!

Me ds and dd have all had a cough virus thing for 5-6 weeks. Coughing has varied between us dd (age 15 has a dry cough as does ds aged 17) but i seem to have productive cough.

we are tired but only very occasional temps etc.

i have left it thinking it will clear but if anything it seems to be just getting worse . DS who got it first (so is a week ahead of me and dd) came home from college with what sounds like whistling or popping in his chest (hes not struggling to breathe or feeling terrible just slightly unwell with coughing and now the noisy breathing!).

i cant hear anything in dds chest really and obviously i cant listen to my own.

i emailed the doctor and have a nurses appointment on the 21st but i am worried especially about ds as he now has the bubbling etc.

am i ok to wait until the 21st it was made clear on the phone that was the first appointment so my only other option would be a walk in centre. I dont want to waste their time if i am just over reacting!

My children have the same virus. They've had antibiotics which didn't do much. Just had a chest x ray which was clear.

Personally I'd go to a walk in, 21st is too long to wait.

That's 14 days away, I'd definitely go to a walk in centre, sounds like anti biotics are needed and two weeks is a long way off.

Well you have between now and the 21st to decide I suppose? Personally I'd go as a cough lasting 5-6 weeks isn't normal?

Thanks we are going today to the walk in so see what they say!

probably a silly question but if say me and ds go would we need to book us both in it seems a bit odd going as a family! But we have the same thing!
