Anyone knows?
Asking for a friend who will be contacting solicitors later. But wanted to check if anyone knows if the initial application can only be for a 2 year visa maximum?
His employer is happy to sponsor him for 5 years, and ideally he would like his solicitor to apply for a 5 year skilled worker visa or at least 4 years to start with- so the maximum he can get. Why only 2 years maximum for the first visa? Is it so that Home Office can have more controls and want to see him apply for a renewal when the first 2 years end? Or is it just to make more money out of multiple applications?
Current minimum is £26,200. His employer is not too fussed with salary issues for him at the moment.
