do you play music / radio through 'normal'speakers at home?

Just that really. neighbour plays music fairly loudly ( daytime, so not unsociable hours) and I'm just wondering why you'd do that, with all the wireless headset options about. (he is an aspiring singer too 😶)I'll admit I don't like having to listen along, even in the daytime (wfh)...

Is it sound quality?? To me listening on headphones actually feels easier...can hear better.

I play music through speakers in the kitchen, because there are other people in the house and I can't talk to them with earphones in.

Even when in on my own, I'd want to hear if my phone was ringing or someone was knocking on my door. I'd feel slightly vulnerable and odd with earphones in. I only use them when out and about usually or in the gym.

Fairly sure my neighbours can't hear much. We've lived here for 16 years, I think they would have said something.

Yes, everyday, pretty much all day via a digital radio in the kitchen. I have a toddler so can’t really wear headphones, and I wouldn’t choose to anyway tbh, I don’t much care for them.
I do, however, live in a farmhouse down a very long lane.. the only ones I might annoy are the ducks in the farmyard!

Yes I do. It's the same as having a telly on I guess.

If the music is too loud ask him to turn it down.

I have Sonos speakers all over the house and play my music on all of them - I don't have them particularly loud though, and I don't think my neighbour can hear. She's never mentioned it, and were very good friends.

ha ... am I weird for often only wearing one earbud at a time?! means i can still hear but also i find having both in claustrophobic
😳... i thought it's normal . Definitely can't cope with noise cancelling ones.

no it's annoying but it's daytime so I really think it's not reasonable of me to be bothered by it... I'm not a shift worker, otherwise might have asked.

If it bothers you it bothers you - intrusive noise is a nuisance whenever it happens. I'd have a polite and friendly word.

Yes, only wear earbuds if I’m being too loud. I’d rather not wear them. And also if I’m cooking then DH will dot in and out and we’ll talk to each other.

All day while working from home. From a Marshall speaker. I sing along too.

Yes, I find headphones of any kind very uncomfortable.
