Where am I? Suggestions please!

If you were an 11yo’s missing Christmas jumper, urgently required for “Christmas jumper day” tomorrow at school, where would you be hiding?

(Desperately hoping I don’t have to try to make a replacement one out of a sweater + tinsel)

In the Christmas decoration cupboard?

Have you fallen off the hanger into the bottom of the wardrobe?

Have you stopped fitting and been bundled off to the charity shop half way through the year?

Have you accidentally been put away in someone else’s draw?

Stuffed in a drawer or fallen down the back.

He has no wardrobe, only drawers. Definitely not in there (though I will check again down the back - good thinking!)

Everyone else’s wardrobe has been checked. As has the Christmas decorations box. No jumper.

Yes I did wonder about this! But why would we have tried it on part way through the year? I really hope that’s not what happened.

alternatively you gave me to someone else & I'll in their drawers. I can't be certain!!

He has looked all through his drawers and so has his dad. Possibly I need to go and look through them as well (maybe a mum look is needed?)

Ah if only male members of the household have looked in the drawers then you definitely need to double check!

I’m in the laundry basket, because you thought I needed a wash ( too late now 😂)

This occurred to me! Even the horrible thought that it might have been festering right at the bottom since last Christmas (surely not!). But no - all laundry baskets have been checked by me and no jumper.

Wherever it is, it will make itself known just in time to be too late 😂

Update: in between Teams meetings I have searched his drawers including down the back. No jumper! Aargh.

I am actually wondering if it’s in the lost property box at his primary school (which would be a right pain as he left primary school in July). I don’t think it is, as I think he wore it at home after the end of term, but I’m rapidly running out of ideas where else to look.

He has checked under his bed (you’re right, I’ll double check it).

Beach towels are in the bathroom. I’m pretty sure it’s not in there.

We don’t have a linen press (phew, one fewer place to look!)

I’ve searched all laundry and ironing baskets - no jumper.

If you can't find it, do you have a charity shop or supermarket near you for a spare? Or can you put out a call on the class WhatsApp/FB group to ask if anybody can lend you one?

What colour is it? Look at all similar jumpers in the drawers in case his Xmas one has got turned inside out after washing etc and you just haven't recognised it yet. I have one with a snowman pattern on but if it was inside out it'd just look like a normal grey jumper.

@Catabogus yep, male 'looks' don't count as proper looks, you need a 'mum look!!'
