New job and paternity

My husband has been offered a new job. I will be approx 4 months when he changes if all goes well (I am only 5 weeks now so still a long way to go). Would he still be entitled to paternity leave. i recognise he may not be entitled to stat pay but the leave itself i am unsure of. He have been in employment (just with another firm) for the entire period

Does he know his employer's policy on paternity leave? Fingers crossed it's better than statutory.

It's definitely worth asking. Someone ion my team joined in May, 2 weeks later he had 2 weeks paternity leave and he's just gone off for another 2 months. They didn't bat an eyelid about it.
