Failed vasectomy/early menopause - anyone have any experience with either?

I’ve just turned 43. Had a copper coil removed in early 2021 following some irregular periods (I know it’s non hormonal but it needed to come out anyway). Since then periods have been all over the place varying between two in a month to over 40 days apart. Have had hot flushes and insomnia, mood swings etc and am pretty sure I’m menopausal. Bloods taken earlier the year and showed my hormones were at the bottom end of normal range. Last period was mid August, this is the longest I’ve gone without one. DH had the snip in 2021. However I’m having a moment of paranoia. Obviously next step is a ‘just in case’ pregnancy test because I’m youngish for menopause so that thought is always there! Anyone care to share their anecdotes (whatever the outcome I’m happy to hear all stories!)?

Yep. Peri menopause around 42 started sending my periods haywire. Two in a month, missing completely other months, flooding, mood swings etc etc.

Yes to flooding, my last but one period all seemed to come out at once, hasn’t happened since I was about 14! Also have gained weight

Well my Uncle was the result of my Grandma thinking she was going through the menopause. He's 20 years younger then my Dad and his kids are closer in age to mine.

But I have no idea if they where using any other form of contraception. Take a tests and find out I'm. Sure if your DH sperm tests came back clear it's fairly unlikely to ba a failed vasectomy as I believe most of those happen before couples get the all clear on the sperm tests.

That’s my understanding MigGirl and he did get the all clear over a year ago. Everything is pointing to menopause but I guess I should check given me being at the younger end of the scale
