3 year old party with older kids

Hi, my son's 3rd birthday is next year and we want to do a party for him, were going to hire a hall I think. He'll have friends there of a similar age to him, some a bit younger but about 5 of them will be between 6-10. Has anyone got any suggestions to what we can do?!

I wanted to hire Little City or something similar but they are mainly aimed at under 5s. Should we hire anyway and then organise something for the older kids?! Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!! Thank you 😊

I'd say if you want the Little City then go for it. I attended a party earlier this year with a Little City and it was fab, my 3yo and 6yo (5 at the time) both enjoyed it although I'd say my 6yo was definitely getting slightly bored after a while and any older he probably wouldn't enjoy it.

I did a party for my 3yo in July so slightly different. We had a real mix of ages youngest being 1 and the oldest being 16! In total we had around 38 children. It was a hot day so we were in the garden and we hired a large bouncy castle/obstacle course. It was a hit with all ages and even the teenagers were on it. We also hired a slighly smaller soft play/ball pit for the tiny ones. If within the budget I would really recommend the inflatables as I think all ages will enjoy it.

I'd aim the party at the birthday child, it's their birthday after all!

The older ones can either be made to feel grown-up by being asked to help the little ones or have a table with craft/colouring on it for them.

Or just don't invite them!
