Trim pubic hair before waxing? Help for newbie!

I’m going to try professional waxing for the first time. I usually do a diy bikini wax but want a hair free undercarriage for the first time ever. I still want hair on the mons pubis though, but want it shorter. what should I do? Use clippers? I’m worried my hair will be too spiky if I do that .

also, what about the vulva area lower down? Do I trim with scissors before go to get waxed as the hair is au natural length currently! help!

Also, is there a term to use to ask for hair to be removed in certain areas only (not Brazilian but the equivalent for what I’m describing)?

If they are professional, tell them what you want and they should be able to do it for you.

Trim with scissors to about 1/4 of an inch long.

Ask for a Brazilian (which is largely what you're describing) and then tell your waxer how much you want left on the front.

Personally I wouldn’t bother doing anything with it. If it’s too short it won’t catch the wax properly.

hollywood is hair off everything (including bum)
Brazilian is hair off of everything excluding a strip or triangle
g string Is a thing too but can’t remember where.

They will absolutely do what needs doing. I would honestly leave it

Definitely leave it. Once the wax is done and your left with hair on the mons pubis, you can trim it down to desired length afterwards if it’s been a bit long.

But definitely just leave it all pre wax
